Very impressed with Greenville
I took my time getting here today. I went to the beach briefly in Hilton Head, packed the truck, and took off around 9:30 a.m. I drove to Columbia and strolled on the University of South Carolina’s campus. It is a nice campus with friendly people. It’s sort of the theme. I had lunch in the student union and enjoyed listening to the students speak. I am envious of the thick southern drawl here.
I arrived in Greenville around 4:00 p.m. I took a brief walk around the area my hotel is in. There is the coolest park, but of course I didn’t have the good camera, only the iPhone camera which is horrible. It is called Falls Park on the Reedy. The city leaders have done an excellent job of combining the natural green space and business. I have a few shots of how they have built my hotel and added water that compliments the reedy below.
Below is The Lazy Goat, probably where I am having supper. There is a concert across the river tonight that looks like it has my name on it. I have to get up early to head to the Chattooga River to whitewater raft. Looking forward to it.

I am the owner of The Lazy Goat and was thrilled to see your post and that you were planning to dine with us. Please let me know how your meal and experience were and if there is anything that we could do better to make it even more enjoyable. You picked a great time to be in Greenville, on a Thursday with the concert across the river and all the pedestrian activity during the summer evenings. Thank you again for thinking of us at the Lazy Goat and I hope you enjoyed everything.
